jumping

I saw horses jumping on TV so I decided to try it. You just get some barrels and send the horse over. I got Siete and she popped right over. Then she didn't want to. Part of it was the halter. I was using one with a longer rope and it was bothering her. It bothered me a little too. I was pretty serious about not getting tangled up. We went at it for awhile and she ended up jumping pretty decent. Claire was watching. Well she was pointing our direction in the shelter of a bale. I tried to get her to watch to see if she was impressed but she wasn't coming out in the wind. Then I got Leilani. This went just like when we started walking without a lead rope. Siete learned way faster but Leilani got good faster. I had a real workout with Leilani. Both horses really came pounding before the jump. My joke is that I stop to give the horse a breather. We had a few of these. It's not that big of a deal for a horse to jump. They just pop right over.
