Claire had been having trouble going to the bathroom. It started about 2 weeks ago. I could see she couldn't go so I called Dr. Dave. He gave her an enema and I took her home. But then she started having trouble again. I took her back on Friday and he kept her until Tuesday. He called me and we decided to take her to K-State. We went down on Wednesday. Everyone gets a student. He poked and prodded on Claire which she thought was just fine. Then he went to get his vet that was in charge. While we waited I sat on one chair and Claire sat on one for herself. The vet was a woman and she got on the floor with Claire. Claire played kissy face and then rolled on her back. They said they were going to do an x-ray and do some bloodwork. The x-ray didn't show anything abnormal. They said they didn't have to sedate Claire for her x-ray, she just laid for them. No surprise. They think she's got colitis. She had eaten some horse feed and that's what Dr. Dave got out the first time. It was about like small gravel. That may have irritated her so that she got inflamed. I got some antibiotic pill that we'll give twice a day for 2 weeks. Claire wouldn't go to the bathroom down there but when we got home she had a really nice looking stool.
