cold

Went out Monday morning. The snow was deep but it wasn't real cold. Buzzie really struggled getting anywhere. He finally made it to the trash barrels and was exhausted. I plowed a path for him and got him back in the house. I came in a few times to warm up. Every time he was all excited to get out but couldn't get anywhere and wanted right back in. When I fed horses he made it out to the barn then I lost sight of him. When I had everyone started eating I went to look for him. He was at the backdoor, shivering. I don't make him stay out but he needs to think how cold it is before he makes a rush for the door. Today more of the same. There are trails so he could get around better but it was major league cold. He still wanted out everytime but as soon as he remembered how cold it was he wanted back in. I told him when I went out he should stay in but he gets so excited about going out I let him go. When I fed horses tonight he made it the whole time. Well except for Cassy. She takes forever to eat so I took him in. It was still cold but the sun was shining so it seemed a little warmer. An embarrassing note, every time Buzzie went in Lucy went in too. Hello Lucy! You're a big dog. She doesn't have as heavy a coat as Claire, though.
