Buzzie

Yesterday morning I was going to go out and get the horses. It was only 9 but already hot and sweaty. I was going to put the dogs in the house, especially Buzz, but I couldn't find him.The girls were with me but they didn't know either. We finally found him and he had a rabbit. It wasn't very big but I'm sure he got it by himself. I still tried to get him in the house but there was no way. So the girls and I got the horses. It's not really that tough for them,. They just run from one waterhole to the next. When we got back Buzz was really hot and wanted in. The rabbit was gone. By now I was getting behind schedule and everyone had to wait. When we finally went In there was no argument. They went charging in. I think Buzz slept all day.

As crummy as last week was Buzzie had a few moments. One morning we were still in the house and he started playing with Juan. Juan sleeps all day and goes out at night so he was getting ready to sleep not play. He put up with Buzzie for awhile but soon got tired. Buzzie doesn't pick up signals very well, he's a guy. So Juan started stalking him. Juan got down low and followed Buzzie everywhere he went. When he got close he would jump out and attack Buzz. Buzz thought it was a great game. Going outside is always a big deal. Even though we prop the front door open in the mornings the dogs all come back 9in so they can charge out the back. Great fun. For some reason Claire didn't get back in the front door so she was outside waiting. Buzz and Lucy went racing out. Buzz saw Claire and ran toward her. Right then Claire was yawning. Buzz never looks where he's going and ran right into Claire's mouth. Claire looked a little startled and then spit him out. I think Buzz might have been salty.

Yesterday Lucy was really barking so I took a look. There was a dog on the lagoon. It's a red heeler. Claire saw it and they took off. They went south a little and circled back. On the way back Buzzie joined in. The dog went into the weeds by the barn and Lucy and Claire stopped. Of course Buzzie went on and I had t0 get him. I told Paula the dog wouldn't hang around as long as Lucy lived here. This morning Paula left for work but came back in the house. She said the dog was in the garage and she didn't want to go by it. No problem I said take Lucy out there. Well Lucy doesn't go to work before 8. She paid the dog no attention. Claire and Buzzie were all wandering around but none even looked at the dog. Eventually with all the stirring Paula got in the car without being noticed. I saw the dog this afternoon and it didn't look like anybody was chasing anybody. I think it's pretty sad to dump a dog but to dump one on a national holiday just seems even more wrong.
