humidity

We've had a lot of rain and it's been humid. It really messes up Buzzie's hair. Some mornings the hair on his face sticks straight out. I've taken Leilani over to the barrel races to give her a different place to go and Paula wanted to ride. So I threw in Cassie. By the time I got them and saddled them I was soaked. We cooled off on the way over. Leilani was low key but Cass hadn't been ridden for awhile and she had happy feet. Kind of like when we caught cows. She's always been an overachiever. Paula didn't last long and she wanted me to get on. I got on her and we did circles, figure eights serpentine, zig zags and then started over. About an hour later she was pretty calm. I was soaked again and had used so much leg I had a blister on the inside of my leg. For Cass, it was all behind her and she was happy. After it was over we were loaded and getting ready to leave. Tami was getting ready to get on her young horse, it's 4 so not that young. She got on with nothing happening. When she started moving the horse didn't want to go. It made a feeble attempt at crowhopping and then reared. The first rear wasn't too bad, the second I thought he was going over backwards. Tami was able to slow him down and get off. She started doing some serious lungeing. We left but I checked today. She didn't have anymore trouble.
