Today's wind was the worst so far. Because of that we didn't ride the horses this evening. Also Leilani lost a shoe a couple days ago. I put a boot on her and go but it's not the same. The boots work well but Leilani has special shoes. Apparently they really work because with the boot I could feel her step was funny. The farrier is coming Monday so she should get fixed. Since we didn't ride I decided to get Leilani out and work on her ground movement. Then I put her back and got Siete out to work with her for awhile. Apparently Leilani felt she had waited long enough. She picked up a feed pan and held it in her mouth the whole time, watching. We're not using the pans, but the hay is getting dusty so we're hand feeding and they have to wait for someone to throw it over the fence. Horses can't speak but I think thus was Leilani's way of saying remember me?
