mud

It's been really wet. Buzzie likes to follow Lucy around. Theygo bouncing around. Lucy goes through water and gets her feet wet. Buzz follows her and gets wet up to his tummy. Then after awhile Buzz gets cold and wants to go in. Tonight when Buzz came in he had a leaf stuck on him. Actually he had several leaves and other stuff stuck on him but it was one leaf that bothered him. He started yipping and spinning until he got it off. Then he attacked it until he got it killed.

rabbit

Went out this morning and we all burst out like normal. By the time I got to the gate the girls had disappeared and Buzzie was walking around with a rabbit. I don't know where he found it but he must have find it immediately. He wasn't too keen on giving it up. I let him gnaw on it for a little while and picked it up. He was getting it torn apart so I thought it was time. I put it on the back of the pickup. We took the cows a bale and I stopped and tossed it on the road.
As soon as Buzz got back he was looking for his rabbit.

stuck

The dogs were hunting. The girls were poking atound in some bid weeds by the shed. Buzzie was jumping aropund trying to figure out how to get in. Eventually he pushed in a little and promptly got his ear stuck on some barbed wire. He started howling like he was dying. I grabbed him so he wouldn't rip his ear off. I didn't do much but did get him loose. He left a little hair behind but he's got extra. As soon as I put him down he took off running. First he ran circles around Lucy. Than he ran circles around Claire. He does this on a regular basis but usually not both of them. It was wet and sloppy today and he went through a lot of slop. He's already gone to bed. I guess he's not waiting for us.

Stripe

Stripe got out yesterday. I drove the tractor in the pen. She waited until I got past her and walked straight to the gate. I wasn't too happy but I had a plan. I let her run around for awhile and opened the door to the horse barn. When Paula got home the dogs all came running out. Lucy saw Stripe and started stalking her. Paula said I needed to protect Lucy. Stripe doesn't bother the dogs much when she's in the pen but she took off after Lucy. I wasn't worried about Lucy. She knows when to get out of the way and she knows where the cover is. I was more worried about Claire because she doesn't pay attention. Mostly I was looking for Buzz. I saw him running hard for the machine shed. Good idea. The 3 of us sort of moved Stripe back towards the pen. When she saw the open door she walked on in. We shut the door and I went in and let her out the other side.
