The horses were home yesterday morning so I grabbed Sieta. She had a bunch of cockle burs in her mane and I wanted to get them out. I got them with not much fuss. Actually I cut a lot of them. The horses were still there so I got Midget. Her mane was a mess. Her tail wasn't bad and the left side of her mane was ok. The right side was a tangled mess. We've got some stuff called Cowboy Magic that's supposed to get tangles out. The directions say put a nickel size spot on the mane and work the tangles out. More accurate would be dump a 5 gallon bucket on and start pulling. I worked on her a long time. WD 40 is also supposed to work but at least with this stuff my hands smell good. There is still hair all over the ground. I didn't cut it out. It just eventually came out as I pulled. Midge wasn't too thrilled over the whole event.
