doctors office

Took Claire to the vet yesterday to get her shots. I took Buzzie along because they wanted to see him with his sweater and cell phone. Claire and Buzzie both had a good time. When Claire was giving blood she got a little squeaky. Buzzie quit running around and came over to the table to start whining. I guess he didn't want his sister Claire getting hurt. Other than that Claire kissed up to everyone and Buzzie played with Macy and took her toys. Buzzie went back in Macy's room and started bringing out her toys. I told him if he got lost to call me and I would find him.

weather

The weather looked good for the week so I decided to get a lot of riding in this week. I decided to ride the first 4 days of the week. Monday turned out terrible. When I started the wind wasn't too bad but it got bad. Leilani and Fergie were begging me to quit but I said no we'd decided to go so we had to finish. They didn't think there was any we in deciding but we went on anyway. The rest of the week was nice. I rode Leilani and Fergie every day plus Cassy on Wednesday. Riding 3 pretty much wore me out. Claire always goes with me but when I tool out Cassy she didn't want to go. She sort of hid by the lagoon until I called her. Thursday I had to wake Leilani up. This was in the afternoon. She was sleeping on her side. I shook her and she opened 1 eye. Then she shut it and pinched it shut as tight as she could. Better than being neurotic, I guess. I finally got her up and when we went out she zipped right along. All of us were ready to rest for a day or 2.

Buzz

Buzzie caught(found) a rat today and was carrying it all over. He took it into the yard just outside the door. I always put him inside when I feed cows. I threw the rat away while he was in. When I got him back out he went tearing out to the spot he left it. Good memory. Then we went riding this afternoon. Buzzie and Lucy fell back early. I looked back and saw them going down the finisher road toward the road. Then I could see Buzzie walking down the road. I made Leilani go back and we got them. We went on and by the far oil well Buzzie and Claire started digging on something. Leilani and I went home but they weren't with us. I made Leilani go back again and we found Buzzie by the oil tanks. Finally got him home and I took out Fergie. This time he was in the dead pile and didn't see us leave, I may start putting him in the house. I don't want to lose him.

cow

I was giving the horses a bale tonight and while I was in there a cow wandered in. The horses were eating and didn't pay any attention except for Midge. She ran at the cow and shook her head at it. She didn't get the cow out but she chased it to the far end of the pen. In the morning the lights went out. Later I saw that the switch down by the stop sign was blown open. I didn't know that right away so I was looking around. I went out to the finisher and it didn't have lights either. I fed the cows because I wanted to start the tractor before the heater ran out. I didn't see Buzzie so when I got done I went back our to the finisher. I could hear him long before I got there. It was my fault. I didn't giver him his cell phone this morning.

nice day

It was nice yesterday so I took Leilani out for the first time in a long time. I think she was ready. When we rode down the driveway she looked at everything. They really aren't supposed to but most of them do. She paused at everything that she hadn't seen before. She really remembered the driveway. Then she was anxious to get out in the field. I think her foot feels better than it has in a long time because she was really moving. She also has to wear sports boots and they make her look very snappy. I parked her and got on Fergie. Fergie had some brain spasms but they're all behind us now. Ir's refreshing to have uneventful rides.

leak

Had a leak in one of the old hog waterer spots. I thought it might be leaking but was waiting for it to warm up a little but the leak got worse today. I dug it out. My idea was to bring the atv out so I could go back and forth for all the stuff I forgot. I got part way out and saw Buzzie wandering around by the horses. So I walked back to get him. He had a great time playing in the hole and the mud. I needed some stuff so I decided to walk back through the pens
so we'd miss the horses. I climbed a fence and tried to get Buzz through a hole. I ended up laying on the ground trying to get him to go through. Of course he wouldn't because he thought it was a trick. Eventually Claire came over to see what the fuss was about and he followed her. He had to check out everything on the way so it took awhile. I put him in the house so I could get something done. The horses also had a good time. They kept peeking in the hole and fell over the stuff I had laying around. I think Leilani was looking for another place to injure herself.
